Converting CIBC statements
CIBC provides chequing, savings and credit card statements as PDF files. They're easy to read but impossible to sort, filter, or total. BankToSheet reads the CIBC PDF layout in your browser and turns every transaction into a spreadsheet row with the date, description, money out, money in, and running balance.
Steps
- Sign in to CIBC online banking and open your statements or documents section.
- Download the statement for the month you need as a PDF.
- Drop the PDF into the converter above. It's read on your device, not uploaded.
- Review the rows (balances are cross-checked where your statement shows them), then download Excel, CSV, or OFX.
Statement details we handle
- Region: Canada · Currency: CAD ($) · Date style: varies (we detect it)
- Separate debit/credit columns or a single signed amount column
- Descriptions that wrap onto several lines
- Multi-page statements with repeated headers
- Password-protected PDFs (the password never leaves your device)

How it works
Drop your PDF
Download the statement from your online banking and drop it here. Several files at once work too (Pro).
We read the layout
Columns, multi-line descriptions, debit and credit columns, running balances. When a balance column exists, every row is checked against it.
Export
Excel, CSV, or OFX for QuickBooks, Xero, Wave, and Quicken. Fix any cell inline first.
Why it's private by design
No upload
Most converters send your statement to their servers. BankToSheet uses your browser to read the PDF, so there is nothing to upload, store, or leak.
No account
Start converting right away. Pro uses a license key, not a login.
Works offline
After the page loads you can disconnect from the internet and it keeps working. That's how you can tell nothing is uploaded.
Simple pricing
Pro
- Unlimited statements
- Batch convert and merge files
- QuickBooks / Xero / Quicken (OFX)
- Priority bank-format fixes
Bookkeepers and accountants: Pro costs less than 10 minutes of manual data entry.
FAQ
Is my bank statement uploaded?
No. The PDF is read by JavaScript running in your browser tab. You can verify this by turning off Wi-Fi after the page loads; conversion still works.
Which banks are supported?
Any bank or card that gives you a text-based PDF: Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Citi, Capital One, Amex, HSBC, Barclays, Lloyds, Monzo, Revolut, ING, and many more. We detect columns automatically instead of using per-bank templates.
What about scanned statements?
Scanned or photographed statements need OCR, which is on the roadmap. Statements downloaded from online banking are text-based and work today.
How accurate is it?
When your statement has a running balance column, every transaction is checked against it and you'll see how many rows reconcile. You can also edit any cell before exporting.
Can I import into QuickBooks or Xero?
Yes. Pro exports OFX, which QuickBooks, Xero, Wave, Quicken, and most accounting tools import as bank transactions. CSV works with nearly everything too.
How do I cancel?
Your receipt email has a link to manage or cancel your subscription in one click.
